President / OwnerA proud graduate of University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, Wayne began his career with Wachovia Bank in Raleigh, NC in Corporate Lending and Corporate Loan Administration. After departing the buttoned up world of banking, he spent 12 years with American Hospital Supply Corporation in various sales and management positions before entering the world of corporate event planning and group travel. Today, Wayne assumes the role of entrepreneur and the current title of President and Owner of Sterling Events Group, growing the company from two employees (he and his wife, Paula) at his kitchen table to more than 20 team members in four Sterling Events Group offices throughout the Carolinas. In his “spare time” (we think that’s between 3:00am – 4:00am), Wayne also envisioned and executed the successful renovation of a historic dairy barn located in Bermuda Run, NC, transforming the structure into a premier 20,000+ square foot special events facility, WinMock at Kinderton. Our team visionary, Wayne continues to remain steadfast in our one, true mission – to always provide the signature standard of Sterling service and to deliver dreams and solutions to each and every client.
